Bar Przystań is more than a restaurant, it's part of Sopot, built with passion, persistence, and a love of the sea. Today, we’re one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

1992 – Where the friendship began
Two friends and a big idea
That’s when the founders of Bar Przystań met and decided to try their hand at hospitality. They had no experience but they had drive and determination. It was enough to start an extraordinary journey.

1992 – The “Wibus” summer bar

In the former Fish Depot building, a small summer bar called “Wibus” opened. At first we served thick-crust pizza from a homemade, hand-built oven, but it quickly became clear that guests loved the fresh fish bought from Sopot’s fishermen next door.

A new idea for an old place
Right beside the original spot stood a neglected, unused building, a former public restroom. We saw the chance to create a space that would become part of Sopot’s seaside life. Architect Brunon Wandtke helped bring the vision to life not only designing the project, but guiding us with his experience.

Bar Przystań welcomes its first guests
After months of work, often with our own hands, Bar Przystań rose on Sopot’s beach, with its hallmark red roof and a veranda overlooking the sea. Locals and visitors fell for it instantly.

More room, same spirit
As the bar’s popularity grew, we expanded with sea-view terraces, a café, and maritime-style interiors nets, lamps, and seafaring keepsakes included.

1999–2007 – Fishermen and the chapel
“For a safe return”
Right by the fishing harbor, a unique chapel designed by Brunon Wandtke was built—both a tribute to the fishermen and a sign of care for those heading out to sea. Later upgrades to the harbor brought new sparkle to the area.
